What was your favorite place to eat in Barcelona? Favorite food?

My favorite food is chocolate and churros. The best chocolate is at Bar Xamfra (Entenca and Provenca), and the best churros are at Taberna Gallega (Arago between Entenca and Rocafort).

Is there a site in Barcelona that you would recommend to future students that may be a little more “off the beaten path”?

The best way to find the places off the beaten path are by getting lost, which you do a lot here. So far, the best place I’ve gotten lost at is Ciutadella Park, and the Born neighborhood.

If you had one perfect day in Barcelona where would you go, and what would you do?

I had my perfect day actually, but I didn’t totally get to plan it, and that’s what made it perfect. I went to find breakfast in a back alley of a neighborhood I hadn’t explored yet, happened upon a cultural activity, and followed it until I got lost, explored a neighborhood, and ended up at Ciutadella Park again. Then some hot chocolate and churros, and a walk to the Arc de Triomf. They only thing that could have made that day better would have been another visit to Sagrada Familia I think.

What is one piece of advice that you have for future students coming to Barcelona?

Don’t let getting lost disappoint you, but do keep a map on you in case you get REALLY lost. Getting lost in Barcelona is the best way to discover the places you’ll never forget.
