If you were to sum up your Barcelona experience in one to two words, what would you say? My Barcelona Experience is…

Genuinely Cosmopolitan

Explain why you chose those words.

Genuinely Cosmopolitan because  Barcelona is always trendy in fashion and also in design and a lot of expats decide to come to BCN for “its weather” but then they fell in love with the people and the local atmosphere

What was your favorite place to eat in Barcelona? Favorite food?

Restaurant Ribera Manero in la Illa Diagonal! Arròs negre

What is you favorite place in Catalunya? Why?

Tarragona! I was born there, I grew up there and it’s the perfect mix between a big town and a little city. There is a lot of important history there: The Roman ruins of Tarraco have been designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and another World Heritage Site the Castells (Human Towers) were invented near my there, a city called Valls.

Is there a site in Barcelona that you would recommend to future students that may be a little more “off the beaten path”?

Go for a short hike in the evening to “els bunquers” and enjoy a picnic while you stare at Barcelona’s views

If you had one perfect day in Barcelona where would you go, and what would you do?

Go for a run early in the morning in the Barceloneta beach, after go for a brunch in Milk and then have a little walk in Born. Afterwords spending the afternoon with some friends in a terrace and ending the day in a music concert.

What is one piece of advice that you have for future students coming to Barcelona?

Try to speak Spanish every single day at least with 10 people or during 2-3 hours it’s the only way that you can really learn a language! And of course try to learn some Catalan words as well we (the locals) really will appreciate it! Try all the tapas you can, you will miss it at home! Back home, don’t forget to do “pa amb tomàquet” for breakfast.

What do you think makes Barcelona unique?

B…arça for soccer lovers!

A…ttractive for everybody from 1 to 100 years old!

R…epresents much more than its culture and its people!

C…apital of Catalunya (Catalonia)!

E…l mar Mediterrani (Mediterranean sea)!

L…overs of good food, mediterranean gastronomy you really will enjoy here!

O…nce you come here you won’t go anywhere else

N…eighborhoods: Gràcia, Born, Poble Sec, Barceloneta, Eixample.

A… place to enjoy, to discover, to live!
