What are you up to these days? Have you graduated? Are you working? How did your experience in Barcelona have an impact on your life?

My favorite thing was making new friends to travel with.

If you were to sum up your Barcelona experience in one to two words, what would you say? My Barcelona Experience is…

Transformative

Explain why you chose those words.

My Barcelona experience has left me with new perspectives, new friends and new memories to look back on…which was very transformative. 🙂

What was your favorite place to eat in Barcelona? Favorite food?

I frequented Amazonia Açaí several times while in Barcelona, and it became my favorite go-to in the Barcelona heat!

What was your favorite tour, day trip, or cultural activity? Why?

My favorite tour was the Gracia Gastronomy tour! I loved this tour because it’s where I got to befriend other local students and found one of my favorite tapas spots. The gelato on this tour was phenomenal as well.

What was your housing experience like? Did you live in an apartment with other students? A homestay with a local family? A residence hall on your Barcelona campus?

I lived with a local family and I enjoyed being exposed to a local neighborhood and community.

Is there a site in Barcelona that you would recommend to future students that may be a little more “off the beaten path”?

I’d recommend going to Barcelona Sants <3

If you had one perfect day in Barcelona where would you go, and what would you do?

I would get fresh fruit and then take the Renfe to St Pol de Mar to tan on the beach with my friends. I would then head back to Barcelona to have dinner, and later that night I’d get tapas with friends.

What was something you were surprised to learn about Barcelona or Spain? Or what aspect of the country or city were you least expecting?

I was surprised to learn about the time-table there! It was definitely a huge adjustment for me because I was not expecting such a drastic shift from my regular schedule.

What is one piece of advice that you have for future students coming to Barcelona?

One piece of advice I have is asking as many questions as you have!

Why was Barcelona SAE the right program for you?

Barcelona SAE was the right program for me because of the variety of course offerings, and I was really excited to take the courses that I did while abroad.
