The itinerary offers a great blend of academic, social and cultural activities. A sample itinerary is below, but please note this is subject to change and we ask you do not make any travel arrangements until you have received a confirmed itinerary from our staff.
DAY 1 – ARRIVAL
Morning | Airport pickup & Housing Check-in | Airport pickup by onsite staff for participants who arrive in Barcelona by 12pm and transportation to lodging.
4:00pm-5:00pm | Walk in the City Center | We will take a walk in the city center, point importation landmarks, and show you how to use the metro.
9:30am – 11:30am | Health & Safety, Logistical and Cultural Orientation | We’ll give important notes on how to navigate the city, how to keep yourself and your things safe and what to do in case of an emergency. We will also discuss local culture, identity and have a quick crash course in local history.
11:30am – 1:00pm | Guided Tour of the Barrio Gotico | Discover the oldest part of Barcelona on a guided tour with an experienced English-speaking guide. From Roman ruins to modern businesses, there is a lot to see in this neighborhood and no better way to understand Barcelona’s 2000+ years of history and local identity.
1:30pm – 3:00pm | Welcome Lunch| Try some typical dishes as we welcome the group with a delicious “menu del día”. We will go together after the tour.

It works with entrepreneurs, start-ups, consolidated businesses, investors, incubators, accelerators, company builders, universities, business schools, media enterprises, government agencies and other entities.

2:45pm-4:45pm | Cultural Activity: Guided Tour Sagrada Familia | Gaudí’s greatest masterpiece is still unfinished but is already drawing huge numbers of visitors to see the work in progress. Our guide will point out many elements of this unique building!
DAY 6 & 7
Free Weekend in Barcelona | Use the weekend to rest up, explore the city and work on our Barcelona SAE Bucket List challenge! Some suggested activities include the Magic Fountain, a Day Trip to Montserrat, or a tour of the Palau de la Musica.

Mitte encompasses some of Berlin’s most historic core and includes some of the most important historic sites and famous tourist destinations.
10:45pm-12:10pm | Business visit to N26 Bank | N26 is Europe’s first mobile bank. Founded in Berlin, N26’s growth has exploded since they launched in 2013, leading to several rounds of fundraising and a steady stream of new clients. They’re known for their no-nonsense approach to banking, an attitude that has attracted venture capitalists and financial powerhouses
1:45pm-4:00pm | Guided Tour: Communism vs. Capitalism | The Berlin Wall symbolized the lack of freedom under communism. It symbolized the Cold War and the division between the communist Soviet bloc and the western democratic, capitalist bloc. During this walking tour you will learn about the conflict between the United States and the Soviet Union and their two different systems, capitalism and communism.
Free Day in Berlin | A free day to explore on your own and work on projects – we suggest the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp (Sachsenhausen was one of the most important concentration camps in the Third Reich. It was the first camp established under Heinrich Himmler as Chief of the German Police, and its architectural layout was used as a model for almost all concentration camps in Nazi Germany).

1:45pm-3:30pm | Business visit: Pappbrille Sunglasses | The man behind the cardboard glasses without lenses is the designer Cantemir Gheorghiu, or Cante. He made his first pair as a joke, wore it to a club and a girl gave him her cocktail in exchange for this first pair. Soon after, cardboard glasses started gaining unimaginable popularity as a party accessory and carrier of messages. You will learn about the story of his business and will have the chance to paint your own pair!

She will tell you about the struggles of founding her magazine, their successes and the spirit you need to realize a project or build a brand.
5:45pm-8:00pm | Confessions on Corporate – Startup Collaboration | On one hand, start-ups are agile, innovative, and young; they are growing fast and searching for development, resources and scalability. On the other hand, large companies benefit from resources and expertise and the maturity and scalability of their business – although they have rigid procedures and inertia. What are the advantages and pitfalls for corporations and startups to collaborate? How to create a “win-win” collaboration? You will find out this and more during this interesting event!

1:45pm – 3:30pm | Business Visit: Seek Films | You will visit an all female film company to learn about what it is like to be a female entrepreneur in an industry that is dominated by men, and about ‘Breaking Through The Lens’, a pioneering initiative connecting female-directors to top tier financiers at invite-only events around the world.
1:45pm-3:00pm | Business Visit: Too Good To Go | You will learn about an app that connects their users with delicious unsold food from a variety of shops and restaurants all over Europe. It is the world’s largest community of waste warriors!
