If you were to sum up your Barcelona experience in one to two words, what would you say? My Barcelona Experience is…

Luminous

Because the general atmosphere (climate, people, cultural options…).

What was your favorite place to eat in Barcelona? Favorite food?

I love local food (going to Barceloneta neighborghood to eat seafood paella, fideua, fish…). I also like a lot japanese food (Kibuka Restaurant – c/Verdi 64).

What is you favorite place in Catalunya? Why?

I like going to Sitges, to enjoy there the beach and having lunch or dinner in the restaurants near the sea.

Is there a site in Barcelona that you would recommend to future students that may be a little more “off the beaten path”?

I would recommend to the students to visit “El parc del Laberint” (Horta neighborhood), a very magical place in Barcelona, not very well known even by locals.

If you had one perfect day in Barcelona where would you go, and what would you do?

Morning spent at the beach, lunch at La Barceloneta, evening walking the streets of Gràcia, dinner one of the bars/restaurants in Verdi Street.

What is one piece of advice that you have for future students coming to Barcelona?

Explore different parts of the city, don’t go back home thinking that Barcelona is just Plaza Catalunya, Las Ramblas, Gothic area and the “Ice Bar”. Barcelona has much more to offer.

What do you think makes Barcelona unique?

Barcelona is a city were you can find “a little bit of everything”. It has a beach, mountains, shops, museums, ancient art, modern art, busy areas, quiet areas…
